There is something magical about the snow, especially here in Houston where it typically lasts for just a day. Yesterday, the world seemed to pause (and it did, mainly because most of the city was shut down because let's be real...most of us don't know how to drive in that kind of weather, lol)!
But in that stillness, I noticed something sooo beautiful! This morning...when the sunlight hit the last bit of snow just right, it was like a little magic show. Each tiny flake turned into a glittering diamond. In that moment, I saw its brilliance and the experience truly was a gem in my eyes.
Snow comes and goes in the blink of an eye, yet its beauty lingers in our memory if we're lucky. But soon we'll be back to the routine hustle & bustle and if we're not careful those memories will also fade. Enter photographs...in pictures, its memory is immortalized—captured forever. Photography, like a jeweler, allows us to preserve these moments of radiance, transforming them into something we can revisit time and again. The images, frozen in time, are like a jewel we can hold close, allowing us to relive the magic of the snow long after it's melted away.
Take the time, because the snow showed us the way a moment can glitter and fade. And if you don't have the time, count on me your trusted photographer to help those memories remain forever captured in your hearts and through the lens. Because these rare occasions are a gift, though brief, they will always shine brightly when we choose to look back.
